HOW CAN I JOIN?
If your GPA is 3.5 or higher unweighted, a letter inviting you to apply will be sent out during the beginning of the school year. Fill out the application before the deadline and return all completed applications to the Counseling Center. Inductees will be chosen by a separate committee of teachers. Applications will be judged on the four pillars of NHS: scholarship, service, leadership, and character. Inductees will receive a letter of admittance and there will be an induction ceremony in November.

How to Get Started:
E-mail your interest in volunteering to vhacosvoluntaryservices@va.gov. If you complete over 100 hours of volunteering, you can compete for the James H. Parke Youth Scholarship award.
