Frequently Asked Questions

1

  HOW CAN I JOIN?

If your GPA is 3.5 or higher unweighted, a letter inviting you to apply will be sent out during the beginning of the school year. Fill out the application before the deadline and return all completed applications to the Counseling Center. Inductees will be chosen by a separate committee of teachers. Applications will be judged on the four pillars of NHS: scholarship, service, leadership, and character. Inductees will receive a letter of admittance and there will be an induction ceremony in November.

2

  WHERE ARE THE MEETINGS?

The WKHS National Honor Society Arnold Skidmore Chapter holds a scheduled meeting once every two weeks.

3

CAN I CONTRIBUTE TO THE RESOURCES PAGE?

Definitely! We will greatly appreciate your contribution. To add information about a volunteer opportunity, go to Resources and scroll to the bottom. There will be box where you can contribute information about a volunteer opportunity.

6

WHEN WILL NHS MEMBERS GET THEIR PINS?

This year, we are reorganizing the NHS schedule so that our year builds to the Closing Ceremony rather than the Induction Ceremony. So, although we will distribute certificates during the Induction Ceremony, we will distribute pins during the Closing Ceremony.
